Big Change

Day Out

Amelia and I spent yesterday running the streets on a daddy-daughter staycation.  Our day was filled with sweets, playing, pillow fights, and anything else Amelia wanted to do.  I was just happy to be along for the ride...

She even shared with me...

She knocked out the first 30 levels of this game in the "teenage loft" before we moved on...

She tested the wiggliness of each chair in the hotel...

Unplugged

While I'm not a fan of disconnecting at the dinner table,  it makes me happy to see Amelia rocking her finest Hermione necklace and reading instead of poking away on an IPad. 

Options

New? Old? Straight? Knotty ends? Life really is all about options....

Multi-sport Athlete

Teddy decided to give up his tennis balls for a new sport today.  I just wish someone would have told me that my 6-month puppy would be big enough to carry a soccer ball in his mouth...

Assembly Line

We've been talking with the kids about ways we can help those less fortunate than us.  Recently, we came across a sandwich program at a local shelter.  The kids were excited (Amelia far more than Everett) and each pitched in their own money.  We did some shopping, set up the assembly line, and went to work....

We were able to make 100 sandwiches without breaking the bank or our backs. If you're in a position to help, please find a shelter near you and find a way to make someone's life a little better, even if only for a meal.
