You Think You Know

Just when you think Teddy deciding to use you as a place to rest his tail was the worst he'd do today, he wakes up from his nap, walks into the other room, and throws up a PAIR of socks. We have no idea when he ate them...or if a pair of shoes are next....

Delicious

After each visit, the dog sitter leaves us a note to let us know how the dogs behaved. Tonight, this note didn't need much clarification. Instead of being on their standard forms, it was written on our stationary and started with the following line... "Teddy ate my note for tonight...."

Inside Her Mind

Sometimes I wish I had an entryway into Amelia's mind.  I'd love to see all the thoughts and ideas floating around in there.  Other times, however, she has this look... and I'm pretty sure I don't want to know why...

Not Bad

This weekend included a visit from my sister, Amelia scoring her first ever goal, Everett scoring two goals, massive Nintendo playing, a rainy Sunday of relaxing, Teddy eating a bank card and a 12 hour power outage...okay, maybe those last two weren't the best, but the rest of the weekend was much needed.

At least is was my sister's bank card, so I didn't have to be too mad at him.....

Silence

They say puppies are like toddlers, if you haven't heard them in a few minutes, they're probably up to no good. While I'd agree there are similarities, I've never broken the dreaded silence to find either of my kids in my bed destroying a bunch of bananas....

Teddy's work...

Whose Piggies?

I came into the room to the sound of someone saying "Guess whose piggies these are....guess whose piggies these are....". Let's just say there is only one person these little sticks could belong to...

Cooling Off

Teddy got his first taste of playing in the water.  He was hesitant at first, but settled in nicely.  He only had two requests....a pool that wasn't meant for babies and jack russells and a cold beverage in a frosty mug..

Knock Knock

When Teddy knocks at the back door next time, I guess we'll listen....

Big Change

What a difference a few years make....

A little big for me to carry these days....

She used to just stare at them.  Now, she gives me a 10 minute lesson on their habitat and diet...

Day Out

Amelia and I spent yesterday running the streets on a daddy-daughter staycation.  Our day was filled with sweets, playing, pillow fights, and anything else Amelia wanted to do.  I was just happy to be along for the ride...

She even shared with me...

She knocked out the first 30 levels of this game in the "teenage loft" before we moved on...

She tested the wiggliness of each chair in the hotel...

Unplugged

While I'm not a fan of disconnecting at the dinner table,  it makes me happy to see Amelia rocking her finest Hermione necklace and reading instead of poking away on an IPad.

Options

New? Old? Straight? Knotty ends? Life really is all about options....

Multi-sport Athlete

Teddy decided to give up his tennis balls for a new sport today.  I just wish someone would have told me that my 6-month puppy would be big enough to carry a soccer ball in his mouth...

Assembly Line

We've been talking with the kids about ways we can help those less fortunate than us.  Recently, we came across a sandwich program at a local shelter.  The kids were excited (Amelia far more than Everett) and each pitched in their own money.  We did some shopping, set up the assembly line, and went to work....

We were able to make 100 sandwiches without breaking the bank or our backs. If you're in a position to help, please find a shelter near you and find a way to make someone's life a little better, even if only for a meal.
