Bake It Off

Meggan and Amelia baked their tails off at a cupcake workshop last night.  It was a win-win .... they had an awesome time and Everett and I got to enjoy the fruits of their labor.

This is a man who was ready to go to the resort... crocs for the beach? Check.  Hat for his mom? Check.  Bag full of stuffed animals for him and his sister?  Check. What more could he need?

Week Off

After spending a few days on Saint Simon's, we did something out of the ordinary for us....on the drive home, we made an impromptu decision to exit the highway and extend our vacation by a few days.  This topped the week off nicely.  I'm getting used to being offline, away from work, and without an alarm clock.  Now, if only I could win the lottery...and get someone to bring Olive down to join us.

Jump Around

I put together a trampoline for the kids this weekend.  Now, I'm wondering which will happen first .... A kid gets hurt, I look out the window and see them launching Olive into the air, or I jump up only to crash through the trampoline and directly into the ground....

Confirmed

Without saying anything disparaging, I'll just say my suspicions on my enjoyment of the Minecraft convention were confirmed.  Luckily, the kids had a good time...

Can't Wait

We bought tickets to take the kids to a Minecraft convention tomorrow.  The kids are basically vibrating with excitement.  As a kid, I would have thought something like a Minecraft convention would have been about the most boring way you could spend a Saturday.  As an adult, I think I was a pretty smart kid.... because I still can't think of a more boring way to spend tomorrow.

Overblown

On second thought, maybe Balloon Animal Camp wasn't the best thing...we are currently running the largest balloon animal zoo in America....

Backup Plan

You know, in case the whole "become a veterinarian" thing doesn't work out.... there's always balloon animals.....

Dream On

After a nice break this week where the kids had an awesome time at Grandma and Grandpa's and we had our own fun with my sister coming to town, we ended up with a new addition to our yard.  Let the years of fun, sweat, sibling rivalries, buzzer beaters, and hoop dreams begin ....

Day 1

Apparently, while Meggan and I were at work, the kids were swimming in the pool (twice), eating pizza, playing at the park, making and eating rice krispie treats, and watching cartoons.... I'm going to give them the win for today.
