Nevermind

I was just about to write a post about today being the 14th anniversary of the day I asked Meggan to marry me. It was going to be sweet and and loving and thoughtful. Then, as I was looking back at previous blog posts to find a nostalgic picture of us, she saw one from 2013 and said "Wow, you've aged alot".  Turns out, I don't have as much interest in writing my original blog post anymore.  On a side note, it also turns out, she's right.

Beauty Comes in a Variety

Sometimes as a parent you end up with a beautiful, sweet, angel of a child....

and sometimes you end up with this guy.....

That's right, I hit the jackpot twice.

Full House

Now that school will be taught from a distance for the rest of the year, this is the only way Ev will get to see his buddies.  That said, I'm not sure seeing them 100 at a time is the best way to go about it...

Power Outage

When you're stuck working from home and have several video conferences each day, finding your computer didn't charge overnight and your charger cord has mysterious puppy-sized bites through it is not a good thing.  In fact, it's a really, really bad thing as chargers apparently no longer work without the wires intact.

If anyone has any information that could help me identify the villain who chewed up my wire, please send it to Olive. She said she would take the lead on this investigation, but she wasn't hopeful the perpetrator would be caught.

Size Matters

Everett learned you can practice every day, you can try playing with a smaller ball, you can raise or lower the hoop.....but, nothing other than time is going to change the fact that your sister is big enough to back you down over and over and over again.

Built for Comfort

Now that this work from home thing is really settling in, Meggan decided she needed a more comfortable chair.  Luckily, I found this chair mechanic wandering around looking for ways to help....

A Long Line

This Easter may have been under different circumstances than previous years, but that didn't stop us from adding to our rich history of raising master egg hunters....

Nobody was going to outrun Amelia to the eggs....

Nobody was going to celebrate finding an egg (or a dog ball he thought was an egg) like Everett with his war cry...

Nobody could scour the tall monkey grass for the FIVE eggs the kids "hid" and none of us could find like Olive....

We'll Call it a Tie

Everett became involved in a very intense staring contest with his Peep tonight. It was a battle for the ages. If I had to judge it, I'd say Everett probably blinked first, but considering the Peep ended up with his head bitten off, we'll just call it a tie.

Chalk

Thanks to a new shipment of sidewalk chalk coupled with 2 kids suffering from quarantine boredom, our driveway now features the following stained glass design....

Stylist

Well, here we are, 1,250 days into staying home.  We finally broke down and had to resort to the home haircut.  We found out two things while doing this -

1) It's possible to do it without total disaster.

2) It's worth every penny we've ever paid to have a professional do it.

The work...

The result...

Scarred

I'm sure the kids found this little April Fool's joke online somewhere and thought it was the cutest thing. However, I'm pretty sure a talking, smoking toilet is showing up in my nightmares tonight...
