Loveseat
I don't know if Amelia would rather be anywhere else on Earth than snuggling with her Grandpa (except maybe getting back scratches from her Grandma)....

Bleh
I ended a week of vacation at the beach by coming home to get a root canal...and then waking up to a sinus infection of some sort that has me fevered, hurting, and on antibiotics....perhaps, I should have taken a vacation AFTER my vacation

Basket Tossing
We took these two fine crab catchers to the pier to reel them in as they've done in years past. However, apparently the crabs have gotten smarter in the last 365 days....our final catch count was 3 hermit crabs, 0 blue crabs, and 400,000 tosses of crab baskets into the water.

Almost Over
Bad news - vacation ends tomorrow
Good news - I'll get back to posting on here
Great news - We got to do stuff like ride these down the beach and nobody got hurt....

Change of Plans
This is how you look when you get dragged out by your dad to practice soccer, but end up with him pushing you on the merry-go-round instead.....

VR
The kids were feeling brave and decided to try the virtual reality ride at the mall. They both claimed to have enjoyed it despite Amelia being stiff as a board and Everett peeking out of his glasses to make sure we didn't leave him the whole ride.

Tapped Out
When these animals get together...
...and battle it out at Dave and Buster's for two hours....
...the crash comes hard....

Big Heart
Here is a grainy, across-the-field shot of Everett standing in line to do a soccer drill. It's fair to say he's the littlest one (and likely youngest) in his camp. That's okay, he makes up for it by playing with heart and a smile....

Well Rested?
Summer is a time for rest, relaxation, and recharging....unless you're my kids. After spending last week partying hard down on the farm (returning to Charlotte to immediately attend 2 play dates and a birthday party), they will be attending soccer clinics all week. 3 hours per day. 5 days this week. 90 degree heat. At least they should sleep well.

Last Night
After a week of wild times in South Georgia, the kids are coming home tomorrow. As is tradition, by this point in the week, I am missing them like crazy. Don't get me wrong, I love the time alone with Meggan. Also, there are few things more valuable than the ability to do what you want when you want. However, two of those things are coming home tomorrow....and I can't wait to see them, snuggle them, play with them, break up their arguments, listen to them complain about dinner, hear how they hate going to bed....wait a second...

Fading
Everett's Father's Day shirt is fading because I've worn it so much. Mostly all you can make out now is the baseball, the sun, our inexplicable flat, black hairdos, and my Joker lips....

Watchful Eyes
The kids are spending the week with their grandparents. That means a week of doing whatever we want, eating whatever we want, watching whatever we want....and spending most of our time talking about how much we miss the kids. Luckily, they knew we'd miss them so they left us with two little representatives to watch over us in their place....
