Not Fooling Her

Once the doctors told Everett that he had the flu last night, Amelia's wheels must have started turning. This morning, over a bowl of fruit loops, she gave me the rundown of the situation....

Amelia: Last year, we got flu shots and Ev and I still got the flu. This year, we got flu shots and now Ev has the flu.  I think they are giving us FLU shots....like shots that give you the flu.  That way, we'll have to go back to them and pay them. Then, they'll order us medicine and we'll have to pay them more. Then, we'll have to go back and pay more so they can make sure the flu is gone. So, we had to pay them to get the shots just so we could pay them more. 

Me:  Baby, you might need to watch more little kid shows and read more little kid books.
